SENIOR CLASS HISTORY We were a very proud and frighTened group when we enTered Pemberville High School for The firsT Time on a SepTember morning in The fall of I933. Our firsT days here were spenT in Trying To find our class rooms. and becoming acquainTed wiTh The dignified seniors, jolly juniors, and genTle sophomores. OT course. we all realized ThaT we were green and The laughing sfoclc of The school. buT This seemed To be The leasf of all our worries. Enfering Pemberville High School meanT To us ThaT we were going To gain success in a greaTer measure Than The oTher classes had done before us. Sponsored by Miss MoreharT, our freshman year was begun wiTh Twenfy members. During The year we were sorry To have Charles VesTal leave us. However. we hearTily welcomed ArThur Grover. a new sTudenT. AfTer The firsT semesTer we elecfed class officers. They were as follows: presidenT, Clarence Hoodlebrinlc: vice-presidenT, Mil- dred Ohm: secrefary-Treasurer, Eloise Dyer. The acTiviTies of This year consisTed of a parTy aT The home of Florence ErnsThausen and a wiener roasT. Through The co-operaTion of Mr. Libbe who cheerfully gave us permission To have Two dances in his barn we were able To puT several dollars in our class Treasury. Our sophomore year began wiTh TwenTy members under The guidance of Miss Leidy. IT was The smaIles+ class in high school, buT we were proud of iT. A class meefing for The purpose of elecTing oTTicers was held, The resulfs were: presidenT, Clarence Hoodlebrinlc: vice-presidenT, ClayTon ErnsThausen: secreTary, Marjorie TiTlcemeier: Treasurer, Eloise Dyer. As The year advanced ClayTon Ernsfhausen decided To leave school. AlThough we were small in numberrs, our class possessed TalenT. Clarence Hoodlebrink had The lead in The public speaking class play, CloverTime , and Mar- jorie TiTlcemeier played in The leading parT in The high school opereTTa. BiTs of Blar- ney. Besides These, we had five members in The band and orchesTra. In The fall of i933 we again reTurned. Our number had increased To TwenTy-five. which was due To sTudenTs coming from NorTh Troy. ThaT year we had Miss Lugibill for a class sponsor. BeTTie Jay. of Toledo, joined us laTer in The year. The class offi- cers of This year were: presidenT, Dale ErnsThausen: vice-presidenT. Eloise Dyer: secre- Tary, Marjorie TiTkemeier: Treasurer, EmmiTT Hagemeyer. The firsT of This year's evenTs was The junior play enTiTled Up The Hill To Paradise. Marjorie TiTlcemeier and Howard Michel played The leading roles. The second evenT was The purchasing of our class rings and we were very proud To display- Them To The oTher classes. The crowning TeaTure of ThaT year was The Junior-Senior banqueT, which was held in The gymnasium. This banqueT was a greaT success and The class TelT very proud. The year To which we had looked forward wiTh such eagerness has come and we are seniors. TwenTy-eighT in number. This year we are sponsored by Miss Snyder and Miss HampTon. The firsT evenT of This year was The phoTographing of our beauTiful and handsome faces aT The Cubberley STudio in Toledo.
