Senior Class History In September, 1962, the class of 1966 entered Pecatonica High School as scared little freshmen. Members of the class were: David Ackerman, Dennis Ackerman, Marvin Ancona, Connie Aurand, Pat Binger, Linda Black, Margaret Boulds, Alice Boyer, Kim Breeze, Barbara Brown, Terry Brown, Mike Brunner, Karen Byl, Roger Cary, Bill Cary, Mike Christen, Cindy Clark, Rex Cortright, Dyana Dean, Scott Drane, Charlene Erbe, Marilyn Esphenscheid, Elizabeth Falk, Joe Flynn, Mary Ann Flynn, Karne Garrett, Dennis Greenfield, Dick Gunther, Tom Haughton, Leslie Heise, Sheila Henneman, Sherry Henneman, Linda Johnson, Gerald Klenz, Linda Larson, Faye Lewis, Ray McLarty, Mike McNamara, Richard Miller, Dennis Milne, Jo Ann Newberg, Arleta Peck, Kent Peterson, Candy Pottratz, Kathie Roettger, Jim Sauer, Richard Schooler, Steve Sheik, Norma Shippy, Mike Silaggi, Judy Stange, Sharon Tipton, Richard Walton, Frank Whetsel, Russ Woodworth, Larry Wright and Nancy Yokers. During our four years of High School we gained Mike Hoffman, Jim Mi ley, Sandy Davis, Jim Alverson, Ron Pottratz, Tim Kampmeier, Darlene Gustin, Jeff Houtcooper, Glenn Moist, Gary Orris, Ken Wold, and Anita Candy. We lost Bill Cary, Leslie Heise, Mike Hoffman, Steve Sheik, Nancy Yokers, Gerald Klenz, Mike Christen, Linda Johnson, Margaret Boulds, Sandy Davis, Tim Kampmeier, Darlene Gustin, Ron Pottratz, Jim Sauer, Rich Schooler, Ken Wold, Scott Drane, and Pat Binger. Mr. Welling was our freshman class adviser. For our officers we elected: President, Larry Wright; Vice-president, Judy Stange; Secretary, Kent Peterson; Treasurer, Arleta Peck. We used our class dues and the money we earned from a sock hop to go on a class trip to White Pines. In our sophomore year we elected to office: President, Tom Haughton; Vice-president, Judy Stange; Secretary, Mary Ann Flynn; Treasurer, Larry Wright. With the help of our adviser Mr. Henderson we sponsored a sock hop and concessions at a game. In the winter the class held a pot luck supper and gym party at the school. In the spring we picked out and ordered our class rings which we received the following fall. We finished the year with a picnic at Apple River Canyon. Officers for our junior year were: President, Judy Stange; Vice-president, Mike Brunner; Secretary, Mary Ann Flynn; Treasurer, Larry Wright. Our adviser was Mr. Whitehead. To raise money for the Junior-Senior Prom and Banquet we held several bake sales and sponsored sock hops and concessions at games. We also put on the play “George Washington Slept Here.” On May 1, we held the prom and banquet. The theme of the prom was “Southern Rhapsody.” For our last year at Pecatonica High School we chose the following officer: President, Judy Stange; Vice-president, Sheila Henneman; Secretary, Ray McLarty; Treasurer, Mike Brunner. Mr. Gassman was our adviser. We held sock hops and put on the play “Meet Me In St. Louis” to raise money for the trip which we took in the spring. Our commencement exercises were held on June 3, 1966. Our class colors are gold and white and our class flower is the yellow rose.
