McCarthy Jr. Principal TO THE CLASS OF 1986 As 1 said to you during the first days of the school year, you, the Class of 1986, and I have a lot in common. We both arrived on the scene at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in September of 1983 as the new kids on the block. We didn ' t know our way around; we didn ' t know what to expect; and we had to spend some time looking before we could begin learning for ourselves. Other classes will arrive in the future but we went through that process together. For that reason you will always be a class I will remember more than most; but, additionally, you will be remembered for the qualities that you possess and have displayed. I expect you will continue to grow and mature and that those qualities will be more evident as time passes. 1 will look forward to hearing about them and to seeing you, in time, take your places in the community.
