Paxton's Believe it or not Would you believe that some people do fight over school books? Would you believe that the girls' volleyball team won district and ad- • vanced to sectional? Would you believe that our football team was Tri-Champs this year? Would you believe Pat Jordan broke a new record by eating 21 prunes? (right) Would you believe Lisa Gritton went to State Speech and placed 3RD? (Center) Would you believe someone T.P-ed the girls' bathroom? (left) Would you believe Kathy Kingston likes to eat ice cream through her nose? Would you believe?7?? ...Girls Basketball Team was Conference Champs ...First time Girls Guys B-Ball team played on same night. ...All sports have received awards. ...there was a bomb scare ...there was no cross-country or tennis. ...there was school on Community Sale Day. ...there were lots of wrecks in the parking lot this year. .. .we have SHORT FRESHMEN. ...there were 12,532 hamburgers served in 1978 in the lunch room. ...there was an assembly for girls volleyball. ...speech team received 4th place at Sectional. 16
