SUPERINTENDENT 0F CHO0L Mr. R. E. Carleton has been superintendent of the Pauls Valley Public Schools for the past four years, preceding this he was prin- cipal for ten years. After receiving his A.B. Degree at East Central and M.A. at the University of Okla- homa, hetaughtlournalism, English Literature, and Speech. He has done graduate work at Colo- rado University and Oklahoma University. He has been on the OEA Board of Directors, and a member of the OEA Convention Committee. He has taught English Literature classes for several years and this year taught a directed study literature class. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club and is on the Board of Directors of the Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the examining board for the North Central Association. ln February, Mr. Carleton attended the convention of American Association of School Administrators in Atlantic City.
