His activities include four year member- ship in Student Council and vice-president '58, Golf Team two years, Boys' State, Junior Play, Mixed Chorus and Quartet, Band, Blasters, Winner of American Legion Oratorical Contest, class president '55, Citizenship Award '57, outstanding award on merit scholarshiptest, Cattle JudgingTeam '55 and presided over American History Assembly. Tw 24414 SALll'l'A'l'0RlA As an OSU freshman Kay will major in Business Education and be a member of the Girls' Trio. Included in her high school activities are four years in Pep Club and cheerleader, three years Drill Team, four years in State Honor Society, one year Glee Club secretary, three years Student Council, one year secretary to principal, Valley Hi Times Staff, Panther Staff, Joumalism Award, Junior and Senior Plays, Basketball Queen '58 and Football Attendant '58. 'FATE H0 llll SOClETY Thirty-seven students made the State Honor Society this year. To be eligible a student's grades, must be in the top ten percent of grades 10 through 12. The certificates for the Honor Society were presented at the special awards assembly for the underclassmen on May 14, and the seniors received theirs on May 16, in the senior awards assembly. Seniors who received certificates were Jack Kinnebrew, Betsy Trahern, Richard Davis, Kaye Ryland, Karen Crouch, Dwaine Jones, Brunetta Hays, Darlene West, Joan Duffield, James Keffer, and Sharron Lowe. The underclassmen were Noel Blake Hart,Joan Coffman, Bob Jones, John Winingham, Darlene Marney, Katheryn Longmire, James Allen Jones, William Dennis Perdue, Eddie Blevins, Candy Blalock, Sondra Brown, Walter Curtis Dandridge, Carolyn Dockray, Jan Dowd, Peggy Gunter, Lilia Somers, E. T. Manning, Vincie Bergschneider, Barbara Butler, Max Myers, David Sheegog, Joy Pease, Joseph Mike Crouch, Frieda Shaw, and Jim Jackson.
