PARKS has found his work as the Executive Officer of the USS PAUL REVERE to be both interesting and challenging. He relates, The greatest challenge was that of arranging the port visits so that the crew was adequately briefed and ready to enjoy themselves while carrying out over- seas diplomatic mission. The interesting thing about the cruise was the variety of challenges that confronted the Paul Reveremen as well as carrying out other varied missions. Some examples of this would be the Civic Action and People- to-People projects, the athletic schedule and the public ship visits. All of this was designed for one goal--to present the United States in a favorable light. Commander Parks can be happy in the job well done in that respect. His wife Janet, his son Terrence Jr., and his daughter Polly can share his happiness too, for Commander Parks did his utmost to show the best side of all Americans.
