CAPTAIN JOHN J. llIlcNALLY, USN Commanding Officer Captain John J. MCNALLY, from Allendale, New Jersey is responsible for getting the USS PAUL REVERE in the finest shape as a Naval vessel that it has been in for quite some time. With the crew of the ship following orders from him and his competent staff of offi- cers, the ship achieved the highly prized PHIBPAC NEY AWARD FOR LARGE SHIPS AFLOAT. Under his direction, the ship also served as the flagship for RADM A.W. Price, Jr. COMPHIBFORSEVENTHFLT, and the NINTH Marine Assault Battalion. The efficiency with which this task was performed was praised by both commands. Captain llllcNALLY states, The most chal- lenging part of my Command of the ship was the conversion of the ship from an LPA to an LCC. Also, the most interesting part of it was the many liberty ports we enjoyed on this cruise. Captain McNALLY's accomplishments are shared by his wife Francis, and his chil- dren John Jr., Shauna, James, Sarah, Allysa and Julia. 5 z rf ,, ' ' ' -1- ---Q-.---.u..,.,.-....-.,e.. r. .
