Vera I. Wilson Sandra L. Wighton It has been a pleasure to have made your acquaintance. May all your future plans be realized. From timid and sometimes frightened 10th graders three years ago, the Class of 1977 has matured into responsible, self-sufficient young men and women. You can be proud of your accomplishments as we are proud of having had a part in shaping your lives. May the ex- periences you have shared at Patterson give you both wisdom and fond memories as you take your places in society. Congratulations to you for your success- ful completion of your high school education. It has been a pleasure to work with you and to see you bring this phase of your education to a close. My best wishes go with you as you begin the next phase of your life. Congratulations to the Class of 1977 for having successfully completed high school under somewhat try- ing circumstances. Many of you came to us as trans- fers from other schools while many of you who started your careers at Pat- terson were not always cer- tain that you would be al- lowed to complete your edu- cation here. Your class ex- perienced a large turnover in teacher personnel which caused you to leave some old friends while gaining some new ones. All this turmoil and disruption did not seem to deter you or push you off course. You came together, worked to- gether and, now, have grad- uated together. This experi- ence at Patterson will make you more responsible citi- zens in your community and more concerned alumni of the school you have learned to love. William T. Anderson In the short time that I have been associated with Patterson, I have gained a deep respect for the traditions and spirit which are so evident in the school.
