It is here that we defended our city against the attack of the British in the war of 1812 and where Francis Scott Key was inspired to write the Star-Spangled Banner. RIGHT: The U.S. Frigate, Constellation, was the first ship of the U.S. Navy and is the oldest American warship afloat. BELOW: September 19-21, 1975. The Clipper Choir and band members performed at the opening of the sixth annual Baltimore City Fair. Over a million and a half people attended this year's event. I 5
