Buck, Run, Tug, Seniors, juniors, sophomores go! These were the shouted words, as stu- dents anxiously awaited the results of the class competitions, held on Fridays during the extended lunch. Anyone who was eager to test their skills and have a lot of fun joined in the competitions to gain points for their class. Competition involved the three- leggedsrace, tug of war, eating, and the ll . adles falling all over you... popular Buck-Buck contest. Buck-Buck remained a favorite com- petition. As boys formed a linked line, as many girls as possible piled on their backs, trying not to fall off. Watching was fun, but participating students really got in on the action! While Rene Schor claimed, lt's a lot of fun, Sheri Bern- stein felt, . . . sorry for the guys, it must be torture! On the other hand, Nick Alcorta said, 'tAnytime you can have some ladies falling all over you, you can't help but have a good time! Gene Phil- lips said that he, ' A... liked everything but the feet in his face! Not everyone wished to participate, but even so, the event drew a large and enthusiastic crowd. A,...-v h . . 4 n .,.,ff! , Patrick Henry from the Locker's Angle Turn the lock, open the door, in an hour they're back for more. Slam it, jam it, don't let the books fall out, how could students survive without! We, the lockers of Patrick Henry, owe a great responsibility to our student body. Although my job of storing books, bags, backpacks, lunches, and garbage may have seemed boring, we were an important part of your schooling years! Exciting things have happened to me over the years. For example, my front door changed from rainbows to rockgroups and graphics to graffiti, but no more. We then had a strict dress code. We were either green or gold, well, not exactly Patrick l-lenry's green and gold! This code made it hard for students to find their lockers, but each locker's interior had an individual characteristic. I was often designed with wall-to-wall carpet, memo-boards, and the latest sex symbols. Remember, next time the value and importance of a locker is dis- cussed, you got it straight from my angle! When walking through the 'K3OOls hallway, it's easy to see that lockers may get a little messy! 38 Activities , . ,t.,,
