CLASS We, the class of june 1939, having caused an unprecedented amount of agitation, leave. With our departure we bequeath a certain semblance of order to what was formerly chaos. Previous classes having left Mr. North the title to the school, we leave him the mortgage on same. We leave Mr. Tompkins, and we wish we didn't have to. Harry Benninger generously bequeathes his rosy complexion to Donald McCutcheon. Our Miss Vogue, jane Dill, leaves Barbara Cohn, unrivalled as the criterion of fashion. Mouse Asher leaves his remarkably misshapen Shadow Hat to future Mr. Esquires. Mildred Roeder wills her box-office smile to anyone with a toothbrush. The class bequeaths to Mr. Crooks a bushel of winesaps to keep the doctor away. Bruce Rubberlegs Rowen leaves his terpsichorean agility to Herby Hepcat Cornfyj. Anne Haralambidis wills her athletic prowess to Anita Berliner. Flora Avner leaves her operatic aspirations to Jean Parrilli. Arny Salzberg, elongated Davis Cup aspirant, cedes his niche in Eastside tennis circles to genial jerry Brawer. We are sorry we cannot leave Vince Fiasconaro to continue to flutter the hearts of the female contingent. To Mr. Frankenberg we leave future generations of Zu-Zus to continue their valuable discoveries in the field of science. We leave the faculty anxiously scanning the rank and file of the underclassmen to find a successor to the one, the only, the original Hildegard Meili. We leave Miss Ward wondering what we do with so many Readers' Digests. june Greenblatt and Helen Brotman leave the gym class in hysterics. Lenny Marks will leave, upon request, the name and address of the hairdresser who makes those beautiful waves in his hair. Graham Ginsburg generously bequeathes the crumbs from his Cracker Box to Henry Shinefeld. Frances Nussman leaves Miss Koch to find anyone as good at sight translation as she was. We leave Miss Crooks a nut-cracker. Gloria Orlean bequeathes her outstanding ability in poetry reading to anyone with enough emotional ability to use it. Louise Harris leaves her giggles to anyone with a similar sense of humor fAhem!Q We leave joe Piccione still brewing new concoctions for the smoothing of unruly masculine tresses. To leave or not to leave Malcolm Mitchell- that is a question.
