Dependenlfs Cruise The Dependents Cruise, a semi-annual event held prior to leaving and shortly after arrival to the States from our yearly WESPAC Cruise, is an event looked forward to by all dependents. The Cruise of February 2nd started by lifting anchor at 10: OO. A short trip around Catalina Island followed, during which time the Passumpsie had an underway replenishment, a hi-line transfer, and a man over- board drill. The dependents had the run of the ship with any and all questions answered by the crew. A very hearty and appetizing meal of steak and french fries was served at noon to a famished group. The ship returned to port at 1600 Carrying a highly enilght- ened and satisfied, but weary group of dependents.
