Crowd Cheers as Elizabeth ls Crowned Bobbie Allen . . . Cindy Newell . . . Elizabeth Windham . . . The three Homecoming Queen finalists sit anxiously await- ing' halftime and the peak of the Homecoming activities. When halftime comes and the ceremonies begin, tension mounts in the moment before the new queen's name is an- nounced. As her name is called, Elizabeth hugs her escort, then excitedly accepts her roses along with the title of Homecoming Queen 1969. Elizabeth is a three-year member of the Student Coun- cil. She has been a football cheerleader for the past two years. Liz is an active member of YFC, two-year secretary of the French club, and two-year devotional leader of FTA. She is treasurer of her senior class, Rotary Ann for Decem- ber, and was Valentine Princess her junior year. The three finalists anxiously await their appearances of the Beacon's closed-circuit TV show. 3,1 ff13 3' in At halftime, Elizabeth and her escort, Jerry Wilson, hear that she is the new Homecom- ing Queen.
