Each year a model home is designed, detailed,
built by the Building Construction Class. The work is carried
on as closely as possible to actual trade construction situa-
tions. Upon completion, the home is displayed, fully furn-
ished, to the public. The Board of.Education then advertises
for sealed bids, and the highest bidder is awarded the house.

Students work in the power equipment laboratory.
The course is designed to prepare young men either for
employment in the electrical industry or, in special cases,
for tranfer to college. The following topics are studied:
theory and practice of general electricity, with special em-
phasis upon direct current power, direct current equipment,
shop-practice, use of hand and power tools, and intro-
ductory use of simple meters.
Students enrolled in the program have an opportunity to learn some of the following sub-
jects: aeronautical descriptive geometry, airplane materials of construction, government
standards and specifications, all-metal aircraft contruction, aeronautical drafting, and all-
metal aircraft design drafting. ln addition, students study aeronautical theory and have
actual laboratory experiences.
