'vxx' POLLY EHRENSPERGER Class Historian CLASS Ill 'l'llHY Graduation the ringing down of the curtain on the first act of our play of life of which each year was a scene different and exciting with us the Class of 53 as the actors and actresses Sometimes the script was slow and the dialogue boring sometimes the action was witty and interesting part of it was drama and part high comedy but no matter whether the lights were uo or whether the scene was dim and sad we won t forget each thought action and word that is stamped so firmly on our memories our standing we discovered readin writin and to our dismay rrthrnetic As the plot unfolded we found ourselves meeting many strange faces for the first time in that even stranger place Junior High School Here we learned that there were such things as seven teachers in one day a glee club and that x plus y could equal 5 On conquering the eighth grade and entering as lowly freshmen at A G P H S we found we still had much to learn This included new ways of acting new responsibilities more new faces new sublects and detention hall However we survived higher learning and the upper classmen and here we are with the first curtain nearly down but only to remember that after a short intermission the curtain will be going up again on the second act the future Page l2O c X J , l When first appearing on the stage, we had the simpler parts, but often forgot our cues.
