Several PV students found more enjoyment in creating their own music, each had dreams of becoming rich and famous. One was Jimmy Ives who played bass for Elixir. Elixir consis-ted of two other Patriots, C.J. Deas and Barry Burks. E- lixir had already be- gan their climb to the top, playing such pla- ces as Studio 18. Another aiming for the top was junior, Veronica Lake, who played the clarinet. Although there were numerous hours of lessons, Veronica said that it was worth every minute in order to boost her to the top. Dances change as often as the music they are danced to, with fad dances leav- ing as quickly as they arrived. Disco Joe, a local disc jockey said, Teenagers like to hear music that is up to date, but most of all they are into dance's that are up to date, so therefore, you have to have up to date music. I think that without Rock and Soul music, disco dancing would- n't be anything but a flop, For locations!235
