English grades weighed heavily on themes and complete exhaustion was often the result of hundreds of nervous students. Along with themes came the reading of MacBeth, Julius Caesar and All the King's Men. These were among the more exciting moments in high school English. Those who liked history or wanted a good background for Western Civilization took world history their senior year. History skits gave students the chance to act out their view of life in the old days and also gave them a more realistic view of the past. Organ disections, surprising chemical reactions and advanced biology projects were only a few of the many experiences of Parkview scientists who were offered human physiology, biology, advanced biology, chemistry and physics. Those who chose to avoid the current events and scientific explanations often chose to explore mathematics.
