Our Varsity cheerleaders, of course! Being a cheerleader means having fun, making post- ers, and dancing, right? Wrong! Once again the Varsity cheerleaders proved themselves by cheering and jumping their way to the top. The girls attended the U.S.C.A. camp in Au- gust. In overall competition, the team re- ceived an impressive first place finish. In indi- vidual competition, Lisa Boggs placed first, Tricia Harkins received second, T iffanie Mai- zel fourth, and Laurie Marberger and Lana Carey were among the top ten. During the course of the year, the girls cheer for football, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, and basketball. The squad chose Laurie Marberger as the most valuable cheerleader. The girls extend a special thanks to advisor Mrs. Brenda Briscoe for all her help and support. Varsity Cheerleaders 69
