A 'fi With no intimidating nicknames, no super- stars, and no front page coverage, the 1985 Wrestling Team beat the odds by sending six wrestlers to the State Tournament. Darrell Brow, Horace Bratten, Jo Bailey, B.J. Jones, Billy Clark, and Steve Martin combined efforts and brought home an impressive eighth place in the States. Darrell Brow, who wres- tles in the 187 weight class, and heavyweighter Steve Martin received second place finishes while Billy Clark received fourth. At the Regional Meet held at Parkside, Steve Martin and Darrell Brow received first. Newcomer to the squad, Horace Bratten, and B.J. Jones received second. Senior Jo Bailey and Billy Clark finished third. Congratula- tions to the Wrestling Team for a very fine season! I couldn't ask for anymore. Coach Lewan- dowski's statement after a Lady Ram victory. This statement can describe the entire 1985 basketball team. The Lady Rams ended their season with a 19-4 record. This is the second best record in the team's history. Each mem- ber of the team combined efforts for a suc- cessful season. The girls advanced to state playoffs by defeating Cambridge in the Re- gional tournament but lost to a tough Har- wood in the state tournament. A special con- gratulations goes to Senior Alece Shock Shockley. Alece ends her high school career being the first Lady Ram to score over 1,000 career points.
