The 1984 Cross Country Team was led by quality not quantity. The team finished third in the Bayside meet advancing them to the State meet where they finished eighth. Ed Adshead received the MVP award while Brian Rinehart received the Unsung Hero award. Retiring Seniors are Tom King, Brian Rine- hart, and Jo Bailey. The team fin- ished an impressive second in the District 8 championship held at Green Hill. This win made the golf team eligible to compete in the state tournament at the University of Mary- land. Unfamiliar with the college park course, most of the team didn't play up to their poten- tial, but still managed to finish 11th in the state. Senior David Ziara was chosen as the MVP while Matt Auman received the Unsung Hero award. 52 Ciolf Spencer Stephens gives a look of determination after teeing off during a match.
