Jih- Above: left to right- Coach Jim Wilson, David Ziara, Doney Largey, Matt Auman, Hugh Mohler, Spencer Stephens The 1984 golf team was fortunate to have several returning seniors as well as the addi- tion of two promising freshman. The team fin- ished an impressive second in the District 8 championship held at Green Hill. This win made the golf team eligible to compete in the state tournament at the University of Mary- land. Unfamiliar with the college park course, most of the team didn't play up to their poten- tial, but still managed to finish 11th in the state. Senior David Ziara was chosen as the MVP while Matt Auman received the Unsung Hero award. 52 Ciolf Spencer Stephens gives a look of determination after teeing off during a match.
