Coach Potter did not expect her team to reach the State Field Hockey Tournament. ln fact, she was concerned that her Rams might not produce a .500 season, so it was a pleas- ant surprise when the Lady Rams defeated Elkton to win the Region IV title and earn a spot in the State Semifinals. Although the girls suffered a heart breaking 5-0 loss to 411 seed Hureford, the season ended successful- ly with a 10-4 overall record. Coach Potter states l'm extremely pleased with the way these girls played this year. l really wasn't ex- pecting such a good season, but l'm glad they proved me wrong. Sharing scoring honors were Terri White, Lisa Stephens and Penny Parsons. Liz Downes, Karen Hall, Terri White, Karen West, Sandy Ebelein and Kim Leager contributed to the 10-4 record by holding the defense together. The coaches and remaining players wish the following seniors success in the future: Kim Leager, Terri White, Ginger Cooper, Penny Parsons, Karen West, Terri Somers and Liz Dommes.
