Sadie Hawkins Dance On March 15, 1985, the SGA and the Varsity Cheerleaders once again sponsored the Sady Hawkins Day Dance. D.J. Lester Dale provided music for over one hundred Parkside students who attended. In keeping with the theme of the Li'l Abner cartoon, young ladies asked the guys to the dance and married them with a band-aid ring. Alece Shockley and Darrell Brow who won the student vote were selected as Daisey Mae and Li'l Abner. Right: Lawrence Purnell and his date, Chandra Colman, demon- strate the latest moves. Parkside Personalities To mark the tenth anniver- sary of Parkside High School, the theme of the 1985 Park- side Personalities variety show was the Tenth Annual Rammy Awards. Along with the traditional faculty, stu- dent, and parent acts, some very fine alumni acts returned to the Parkside Stage. Ren, Bob, and Susan Richter per- formed 'Captain Nemo , the Gong Show returnedf Jean Dale and Teresa Klisciewicz entertained with 'lSIowly I Turn, and Pam Taylor Kanna- mon sang. Under the direction of Maria Evans who was assist- ed by Cindy Bennet and San- dra Greer, the 'lTenth Annual Rammy Awards was indeed an outstanding variety show. 144 Parkside Personalities Below: MC Marla Vanl-loose kept the show running smoothly.
