Sadie Hawkins Dance On March 15, 1985, the SGA and the Varsity Cheerleaders once again sponsored the Sady Hawkins Day Dance. D.J. Lester Dale provided music for over one hundred Parkside students who attended. In keeping with the theme of the Li'l Abner cartoon, young ladies asked the guys to the dance and married them with a band-aid ring. Alece Shockley and Darrell Brow who won the student vote were selected as Daisey Mae and Li'l Abner. Right: Lawrence Purnell and his date, Chandra Colman, demon- strate the latest moves.
