Gone With the Wind g 1 -,fa The Senior Prom was held on May 5, 1985. Seniors met in March to decide the theme, Gone With the Wind , and to select decoration committees. Meanwhile, the senior par- ents were hard at work planning a breakfast for after the prom. On May 1 and 2 the seniors started decorating the Midway room of the Civic Center. They began making cloth fans for the tables and lace hats to hang from the walls. Finally the decorations were finished and last minute arrangements were carried out. Seniors began arriving at the Civic Center around 8:00 p.m. Friday night, greeted by the tunes of Crash Daven- port . Barry Baker, school photographer, took pictures of everyone. Soon it was time for Grand March at 10:00 p.m. Parents and friends lined the walkway as Parkside seniors and dates paraded in their fancy attire. At 12:00 a.m. Chris- tophers catered the breakfast, and the band continued to play until 2:00 a.m. Seniors extend special thanks to the senior parents and class advisors for all of their hard work and love. 108 Prom: Gone With the Wind Left: Jim Trumble and Marla Van I-loose dis- cuss the table decorations.
