Golf Playing in one of the state's strongest leagues, Parkrose pulled into a two-way second place tie in the Metro Golf League, endinga 14-win, 5-loss season. The Broncs then earned fifth-place honors at District competition and sent sophomore Ralph Warner to state as an individual, qualifying with a score of 73. He putted a 157 total at the state trials. The Metro league was challenging in that many of the teams were fairly equal competition. Coach Larry Hibbard commented that the boys had to consistently shoot excellent ball to wing and even so, Parkrose's losses were only by a matter of a few points.
