Music This year proved to be one of the Choral Depart- ment's busiest. Besides the fall and spring con- certs, the Debonaires sang at a banquet for Gov- ernor McCall, were finalists at the Speech Arts Festival, and were the official entertainment at the Oregon Junior Miss Pageant. Assisted by the orchestra, the Choral Department wound up their year with the traditional spring musical. The band made many contributions to our school, supporting our school spirit and performing at pep assemblies and at half-time during the games. ln the fall, winter, and spring, they staged con- certs, playing music from all areas. In competi- tion at the Wilco League Band Festival, 22 of our students were placed in the Honor Band. At graduation they played the Alma Mater, closing the year of 1967-68.
