Jack and Ron were chosen by the faculty on the basisof active participation, good appearance and leadership in their class. They represented the Students of Parkrose Senior High at Rotary meetings.

5-U-Heist Student Council Student Council started with the Camp Colton Leadership Retreat. They discussed leadership qualities and problems that arise. The council appointed an election committee to help the second vice-president during elections. A new procedure for replacing representatives and a method for introducing ideas were presented. The council also sug- gested that each class choose their colors during their sophomore year. They presented Mrs. Carscallen with a silver tray in recognition of her retirement from twenty-one years of service. ln line with the Student Council's tra- dition ot service, they donated S25 to the John Dierickx Memorial at Gladstone High School,

F.M.W. The Future Medical Workers organization stems from a common interest in the field of medi- cine and its healing arts. A variety of speak- ers, from specialist to pre-medical students, spoke to the members. A number of visits were made to the hospitals in the area throughout the year. They participated in club activities, entering the Homecoming display contest and completing a charitable Christ- mas project.
