Honor Society Honor Society's first official function was the induction of new members. Presiding over the in- duction assembly was Honor Society President Dick Hendrickson. Following the candlelighting ceremony, inductees were escorted in front of the Student' Body and welcomed by the members. One of the activities Honor Society sponsored was a slave sale to furnish funds for the scholar- ships it awards. The members also sold tickets for a Blue Room performance at the Portland Civic Theater.

Sadie Hawkins Dance Marryin' Sam, alias Mr. McKinney, presided over the mock wedding ceremonies held at the Sadie Hawkins dance. Kathy Frederickson and John Azorr were picked as Mr. and Mrs. Dogpatch for having the best costumes. The Collections played while the Dogpatch cou- ples stomped to the lively music.
