Custodians Keeping a school, the size of Parkrose Senior High School, in top working order is an around- the-clock job. For floors that sparkle, brightly lit halls, and lockers that never jam, we owe our thanks to the custodians. Bus Drivers Over 17,000 students travel on buses to the Parkrose Senior High School.Three hundred miles per bus driver-in one week's work. ln addition to this job, of transporting students to school, they also drive students to con- certs, plays and field trips. There is no doubt that we owe a debt of thanks to the bus drivers who make it their job to see to it that everyone gets to and from school safely. 230

Secretanes The secretaries are faced with numerous duties each day as they endeavor to keep PHS run- ning smoothly. Their many re- sponsibilities include budget records, schedules, grades, and information on colleges and vo- cational programs. Because the secretaries are always glad to help, they are often interrupted by students with requests and questions. Mrs. Carscallen, as secretary at Parkrose for 20 years, retired this year. l-ler friendly assist- ance and cheerful countenance will be missed. Cooks The cooks prepare a variety of delicious foods for the students' lunches, plus hot cinnamon rolls for the snack break. Few people are aware of the meal planning and hard work that is. put into the meals and the numerous school banquets. 9
