F.T.A. Future Teachers of America serves as both a serv- ice and an interest organization. An informal in- duction marked the beginning ofa worthwhile year. Selling at the concession stands at the football games and preparing Christmas baskets were only two of the activities the members took part in dur- ing the year. Antigone, David and Lisa, and The Haunting of Hill House...'...these are just a few of the productions staged by Thespian Troop 1783 of Parkrose. They participated in dra- matic competition atthe Speech and Dramatic Arts Festival held at the University of Port- land, and in the State Thespian Conference at McMinnville. They also entertained with cuttings at the Budget Dessert, and at the Parents' Thank You Dance held in May. This year, two of the third-year Thespian mem- bers were employed by Mrs. Findlay as drama coaches for the spring musical, Paint Your Wagon. Proceeds of a pickIe saIe , in addition to other net profits received throughout the year, have helped to provide scholarships for seniors in drama or drama production. Thespians
