thespians The Thespians of Troupe 1783 have done an excellent job of furthuring the recognition which Parkrose now receives for its drama department. They started the year out with Shakespeare's Twelvth Night. This was followed up in the second semester with the presentation of three plays--The Chairs, The Room, and Zoo Story. At the Speech Arts Festi- val, two prominant members, Michele Mariana and Dean Gor- danier, each received S200 scholarships for their fine acting performances. The year ended as a success with the work- shop presentation given by Parkrose at the National Thes- pian Convention in june. For those involved, drama has be- come more than just an activity.
