science The Science Club has planned many interesting field trips. In the summer they went on an outing to Eagle Creek to take biology sam- ples. Over spring vacation they went foscil-hunting. They have changed an out- side court into an outdoor- study biology court. Besides studious activities, the club took second place in the display contest during Home- coming Week and put on the Beachcombers Ball. Mr. Kidney - Adv. Dick Sather - Pres. Steve Mahoney - V.Pres. With this instrument they were able to see clearly people board- ing a plane at our Portland airport, some 20 miles from Corbett. They have done an excellent job this year. sound engmeers The Sound Engineers, headed by Mr. Pearson, provide the proper lighting and public address facilities for all assemblies, meetings and programs. They have well proven their worth to the functioning of Parkrose. stage Crew One of the most necessary but least known groups around school is the Stage Crew. Ad- vised by Mr. Corbett, they per- form an excellent job of build- ing and painting the sets for all drama productions.

outdoor club This newly formed club is for those interested in the outdoors. Their advisor, Mr. johnson, has created within the club, an interest for conserva- tion, and an appreciation of the country which sur- rounds us. The members have gone on one hike this year and hope to have many other activities as the club becomes better known. . I: philosophy To be precise, the Philosophy Club is an indefinite group that spends innumerable hours discussing in- soluable problems for positively unfathomable reas- ons. Fearlessly guided by their ieader, the brilliant Gerald McCubbin, this club explores the height, depth, and breadth of the Parkrose intellect which maglges for pretty cramped quarters.
