9 Q p - 0 standing committee chairmen Each Standing Committee contributed to the smooth running of school affairs. Vicki Hinckley and Mr. Baekel worked with the Assembly Committee, preparing and improving assemblies. The Con- stitution Committee, headed by Kay Donaldson and Mr. Frantz, rewrote this year's constituiton. Doug Hardesty and Mr. Johnson and the Evaluation Committee evaluated activities by a question- naire on that activity. The House and Grounds Committee, also advised by Mr. johnson, and headed by Gail Brown, was in charge of bulletin boards, showcases, and cafeteria clean-up. Glenda Beach and Mr. Herrington worked with the Publicity Committee, organized to publicize all school events. The Safety Committee, headed by Steve Mahoney and Mr. Hughes, was responsible for the coordination of parking facilities and aiding in fire drills. Linda Hardesty and Mr. Teeny handled the concession stands at games, beside welcoming new students through the Social Com- mittee. Mr. Booth advised four of the committees. The Awards Committee, headed by Joanne Krieger, approved, recorded, and presented all awards. Ronda Lapp kept track of all class points. Judy Burnett headed the Finance Committee, which handled all school funds. 'O-6 Sally Van Rooy Linda Miller Michelle Mariana Kelly Longcor September-Leadership October-Friendship November Personality December Sincerity 1966 GIRL OF THE YEAR Karen Ahlberg May -Service girls, league This year has been highlighted by the variety of Girls' League meetings which have been presented. As president, Sally Van Rooy and the other officers, Sue Beek, Mary Kales, Margaret Chesney, Marie Hamann, and Pat Bowen have done an outstanding job of mak- ing Girls' League a treat to be anticipated. The meetings, including a panel of boys, a fashion show, a parade of new shoes, the class skits and the Big and Little Sister Tea, were a success as never before. Mrs. Martin, the new advisor, and the enthusiasm of the officers have made Girls' League into a club ofwhich this school is proud. 34
