student body officers This year's First Vice-President Greg Frank showed enthusiasm in his planning of Camp Colton and in coordinating the standing com- mittees. Dan Matthews and Dennis Snodgrass shared the office of Second Vice-President, each serv- ing one semester. Their duties were to head the lnter-Club Coun- cil and to take charge of working with the rally squads. All Student Council minutes and agendas were excellently handled by Linda Fulcher, the Secretary. The Assist- ant Secretary, Peg Lisk, was the recording secretary for I.C.C. and took care of the correspondence. Kelly Longcor and Kathy Vanek took turns at balancing the books and writing checks, as they served as Co-Treasurers. Mr. Booth had this to say about the success of this year's offi- cers, The 1965-1966 student body officers have been among the finest leaders that Parkrose Senior High has ever elected. These officers have made a sin- cere attempt to develop other stu- dent leaders and create student interest in school government par- ticipation. student body president I look back upon the activities and accomplishments of this year's student body with a great amount of praise. The sophomores displayed their great spirit and various talents to a high degree. The juniors showed their qualities of responsibility and their enormous enthusiasm for school activities. The seniors established themselves as leaders of Parkrose High through their efforts in school and community affairs. The overall effect of these classes united as a student body was a renewal and enlarge- ment of enthusiasm and responsibility at Parkrose Senior High School. The student body of 1965-66 has displayed many of the finest qualities of character and leadership a group of people can possess. It has established Parkrose High as a hub for many of the community activities. I'm sure that the accomplishments of our students this year will long be remembered. May the result of their fine efforts echo in the halls and corri- dors of P.H.S. eternally.

student council The agenda for the '66 Student Council was filled with projects throughout the year. The members of the council started the year off right with the annual Leadership Retreat at Camp Colton, where they exchanged ideas and gained knowledge besides joining in fun. The ideas gained from this weekend were a benefit to the school throughout the year. At their regular meetings the council passed such legislature as the summer delivery of Equus Ferox, a completely new and workable constitution, and the addition of the Student Store Manager to Executive Council, besides encouraging the highest percentage of regi- stered voters in the history of Parkrose. Welcome additions initiated by the council were the new permanent ballot boxes, a handsome honor roll board, a mural painted on the breezeway wall, a display of club charter plaques, and perhaps the most important and most permanent, the addition of a coat-of-arms. As shown, Student Council spent a pro- ductive year, reaching goals not possible without the cooperation of each member doing their share. 30 xftlgg
