Thanks to a new duraflex diving board the boys were able to master intricate dives new to the Parkrose diving team. The results of many hours of practice were shown at the district meet where Bob Williams re- ceived a second place and jim Lund received a fourth place. Later, at the state meet in Eugene the Parkrose divers ranked high, helped with a fifth place win by Bob Williams.

Determination was a key factor when the girl's team matched victories with the boy's team at the district championship.
