ii if st My ,, ,,,,,-me ,f -tu, mt' cmclctfson Learning is just as surely a natural and inherent part of living as is breathing. lt has been said truly that to stop learning is to stop living. This school year has been but one of many highly structured efforts to provide you with fast-moving opportunities to gain knowledge and experience which would take many addi- tional years outside a school situation. Our culture demands a high level of maturity and intellectual competency from persons iust entering its competitive complex. lt is hoped that your high school years will have brought you closer to an operating level conducive tc your making a worthwhile contribution to the the world in which we live. However, graduation must not bring an end to your learning efforts. Many of you will continue further formal education either at the college level, or in technical trade areas. Others will move directly into the world of work, and will begin the sometimes awesome task of meeting the world on its own terms. l encourage all of you, no matter what the near future brings, to take every opportunity, whether formal or informal, to learn, to broaden your horizons, to profit from experience, and to become, therefore, more useful persons to society and to yourselves. The only real hope for society lies deep within the inner reaches of each personality. lndividual successes at self-realization, will determine, ultimately, the level of development of the entire human I'OCe. Our nation was founded upon the certainty of the worth of the individual. The responsibility to prove this worth rests with each of us.
