Issociate Superintendent As members of the Class of 1954, you have completed your formal education and are now at the threshold of facing a new challenge in life. The fundamentals of education have been taught you and an attempt has been made to translate subject matter into a form that will be practical for every day usage. Throughout high school, by means of the various courses and through student organizations, an effort was made to create in each one of you, a desire to act as one should in a democratic way of life. Service is the final purpose toward which all mankind should strive. It is my earnest desire that, throughout life, you may serve in many capacities that will be a credit to yourselves and society in general, thus making this world, as a whole, a better place in which to live.
