llnderclassmen The path which Underclassmen must follow through high school is that of a long hill'winding ever upward, These future Seniors complete the picture of high school life and support the frame- work of school activity. At the bottom of our hill, we stand before the first curve---THE FRESHMAN CLASS, who have proven to be a stimulus rather than a discourage- ment to fellow s tude nts . The next curve we en- counter on the way to the top is THE SOPHOMORE CLASS. The optimistic approach with which they encounter and accomplish a job leaves a smile on e ve ryone ' s face and a warmth of pride in each one's heart, Nearer the top of the hill stands the last curve of our climb---THE JUNIOR CLASS. In name only are these Juniors Underclassmen. Their flashes of light are felt throughout the entire stu- dent body. Defeat is a word unknown to them. When these Underclassmen reach the top they will glance back at the path paved behind them and realize that it was over only too quickly. In every sorrow there is some joy. Their joy is found over- coming the strenuous path which now lies behind them. The self satisfaction they feel in having met their first goal urges them onward ready to meet other goals which lie before them. Yes, Underclassmen, look ahead. You are the promise of a bright future. You are the leaders of tomorrow,
