CONCERT CHOIR Again this year Mr. Anderson did a superb job with Concert Choir. The peak of the year was a toilr to Washington, D.C. during Easter vacation. Not only was it a terrific sing- ing experience but they had a chance to see some of the important places that mark happenings in our country’s history. In seven days, the choir presented five concerts. This trip will surely be unforgettable, especially since the choir members raised the money for the trip them- selves. None of it would have been possible without the help and dedication of Mr. Anderson. Besides touring, the choir took part in four concerts. Rhythm, reading music and using their voices to the highest potential were some of the things the choir had to work on every day to achieve their outstanding musi- cal skills. GIRLS' CHOIR Girls’ Choir has completed its sixth year of existence. The number of the girls in this group nearly doubled from last year’s choir with close to 65 girls in it. More than half of these girls were freshmen. It was a lot of hard work for Mr. Anderson to teach these girls the correct way to sing. But it all paid off, as was evident in the three concerts the choir participated in. This was the second year that Girls’ Choir went Class A” in the music festival and also the second year they got a rating of first. The Girls’ Choir also helped raise money for Concert Choir’s trip to Washington, D.C. OFFICERS FOR GIRLS' CHOIR. Secretaries Mary Nesja and Debbie Hilgart. treasurer Martha Warshall. president Jean Peterson, and vice-president Betty Jo Diebold. 21

DRAMA CLUB Drama Club at Lincoln this year was advised by Mrs. Pirrota. They had money-raising activities such as a Stanley house party and concessions. This paid off in their trip to the North- land College theater to see The En- tertainer”. The club did something new in Lin- coln’s history. They presented Cin- derella” to the children of Park Falls. Both performances were full house. Besides the fun and satisfaction of put- ting on a children’s theater, they raised a bit of money from the small admission charges. It was the drama club advisor, Mrs. Pirrota, plus the enthusiasm of the club members that made the three-act play a success. The Prince, played by Mrs. Pirrotta. receives the glass slipper that Cinderella had lost at the ball. DRAMA CLUB MEMBERS. First row: Karren Engel, Barb Romeril. Second row: Margaret Romeril. Jenny Trochlil, Cindy Weiss. Third row: Brenda Miller, Tom Dillon, Jean Peterson. Betty Jo Diebold. Marla Miller. 23
