Pictured above (not in order) are this year’s Class Couples. The Class Clowns who kept the students in stitches and the teachers in tears were Jill Reel, Robbie Davis, and Art DuCharme. Brant Walls and Heidi Winkler have been inseparable for the past three years and were voted Class Couple. Most likely to be found in the arms of others are the Class Flirts — Rick Scott, Jennifer Bess, and Melissa Geekie. T. J. Coleman and Kris Porter, this year’s Most Athletic Couple, can always be found fumbling around and shooting baskets. Our Most Studious Couple, David Cerra and Andrea Englebright, spend endless hours poring over the books. Daydreaming about everything except school, Brian Furry and Darlena Seeney are our Spaciest Couple. The couple who makes attendance to parties mandatory, Julie Gill and Mark Holley, are the Life of the Party. Josh Watson and Stephanie Robertson always have the latest on the concert scene because they Never Miss a Concert. The Coolest Couple in the Senior class is Lewis Metcalf and Janie Bramlett. Last but not least, this year’s Sexiest Couple is Richie Wilson and Tracee Gore. Seniors 17

In late August of 1983, our Senior class entered Paris High School. In that same month the High School got a new Assistant Principal — Mr. Gerry Walter. Since Mr. Walter has been here for the same length of time as the Class of ’87, this year the Arena Staff asked him to write about the Senior class. Tuesday, August 24, 1983. The first day of high school. I remember thinking that the freshman class looked pretty sharp. They even acted rather mature for normal freshman “greenies.” Since I started working here two days before school started, I didn't know anyone in this building. Even the freshmen knew more people than I did. When I became Student Council sponsor I found out what a wild and crazy group the freshman class really was. Over the last four years I have learned to appreciate the talents of the Class of '87. Together we learned about Paris High School. Who are the tough teachers? What classes could be cut? We rookies learned at the same time all the important information that students need to know. Seriously, it has been my pleasure to have worked for four years with the Class of '87. They are an outstanding group of young men and women. The Class of 1987 has accomplished great things during their four years. They have brought leadership, recognition, and pride to this school, this community, and to themselves. They have made Paris High School a great place to work for these four years. Best Wishes and Good Luck to each of you! Gerry Walter, Principal b a. Ed Voeltz works hard in the library. b. Amy White, Julie Clover, Heidi Winkler. Melissa Geekic, Andrea Englcbright. and Rcnac English take Godzilla for a walk. c. SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS: Jennifer Bess— President, Stephanie Robertson — Vice President, Cyndi Dyer — Secretary, Kris Porter — Treasurer. 16 Seniors
