FRESHMAN INITIATION On September 15th the Freshman class were 1n1t1ated by the Sen1ors They had some very humorous rules to obey At two thxrty that afternoon they were called before Kang aroo Court to answer charges of fa111ng to remember to do some of the rules All were found guilty As a result of thls court we found some Freshmen to have outstandmg talent Frank Lawrence wlll someday be an opera sxnger Ather Abner a -11g dancer Powell Redwlne a beauty operator and Carol Dodd a harmonlca queen In the evenlng the Freshmen entertamed the Semors at a rodeo party HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL Our annual Halloween Carn1val was held October 28th, ln the audltorlum The students from Lutxe School presented an outstandmg program Some of our entertamment was bmgo stand f1sh pond mov1es and food stands The hlgh hghts of the evemng was the crowmng of the Carn1va1 Klng and Oueen of the Junlor class JUNIOR PLAY The Junlor Class presented the1r play Llttle Women on March 31st The characters were as follows Mr Ma rch Wendell Guthr1e Mr Lawrence .Toe Lmdsey Laurle Tommy W11l1ams .Tohn Brooks B111 Parks Professor Raymond Bagwell Meg Wanda McMaster Jo Joann Busellato Beth Loyce Hawthorne Amy, Lo1s Sm1th Marmee, Lorene Gray Aunt March Thelma Redwme and Hannah Dorothy Coffee Fxrst G1rl Betty Knox Second Curl, LaVerne Gray Thlrd Gxrl Dorothy Foster Fourth Gzrl, Robble Cash Oklahoma Day November 15th, was observed w1th a short program We sang some Oklahoma songs and some of the puplls gave mterestmg reports on the settlement of our state Armlstlce Day November llth, was observed Wlth an outstandlng program Parent V1s1tat1on Week was combmed w1th It to make It an all day affalr The day was begun w1th an 1nterest1ng and enjoyable program Mr Gerald WIIIIBIHS, the speech dlrector at E O A Sz M College was our speaker The parents spent the day v1s1t1ng the d1fferent departments of our school, and eatmg lunch w1th us 1n our new cafeterza LABOR DAY PARADE At the annual Labor Day parade 1n Wllburton the F H A Club of Panola won f1rst pr1ze on the1r float Boom Town The float was a truck decorated wlth crepe paper contammg an 011 derrlck m the center and showmg the prom1s1ng future of our town It was drxven by Bob McKee Those r1dmg on the float were Betty M1ck1e Joann Busellato, Thelma Redwme Edna Cunnmgham, M1nn1e Belle Lowry Loyce Hawthorne Loms Sm1th Patr1c1a M1ckle Carol Kaye Cash, Dav1d Earl Ragland DeWayne Mankm and Eva Lee Redwme MONTE HALE, THE WESTERN COWBOY The entxre student body went to Wzlburton on Wednesday afternoon November 23rd to see Monte Hale the western cowboy He made a personal appearance at the Latxmer Theater that afternoon NEW CAFETERIA The student body, vlsltors, and teachers all ate thelr f1rst meal m the new cafeterla on November llth The buxldmg IS very beaut1ful It was bullt of war surplus property acqu1red last summer It also houses the vocat1onal agnculture department 4 I-I AWARDS Robble Cash rece1ved a f1fty dollar war bond as a reward for w1nn1ng flrst place wxth her record book The book was then sent to Stzllwater Z6 ASSEM BLY PROGRA MS .
