Though this is Pat's first year on the volleyball team, she made the first string. She has entered tumbling and tapping this year. With this enthusiasm, Pat, now a freshman, should continue to be a real asset to the physical education department. GOLF joyce Harrah tries to im- prove her golf. Her helpers are Shorty McLaughlin,Car- melita Dunaw ay, and Clara Darling. The Girls'Sports Club was organized for the first time during the school year of 1949-50. The club sponsors the various activities pictur- ed on the following pages, and each member may participate in as many of them as she desires. A system of points and awards helps to main- tain the interest of the girls, as does the pur- pose of the organization, which is to uphold the high ideals of the school and the club and to promote good sportsmanshiptothe highest level.
