,IOIIN MlfSEfI un-loving johnny Muse, our student body president, foot- ball tackle, and self-made Sinatra is always ready to help a guy out, al- though he likes to take life easy as much as possible. Being an excellent the world. Her appealing, winsome smile along with an exploring mind and gals. JACKIE McCLANAI-IAN--That shining star in our midst, endowed with beauty, brains, and a personality rarely equaled, is jackie McClanahan, who forever shares an over-supply of happiness and fun with everyone she meets. Active in almost every part of student life, Jackie is a person whose lasting friendship we all value. PAUL BENNETT-XVell-polished and good-natnred is nice-looking Pete Bennett, student body vice-prexy, who can ably handle any situation. Play- ful Pete is always willing to try anything once, as long as there will be some excitement. When you're out for a good time, be sure to look him up. EDITH SYKES-Iiubbling over with laughs, looks, and general gaiety is Edith Sykes, busy art editor of our yearbook and Chronicle editorial board member, Edith's red hair matches perfectly her flaming personality and fiery wit, which are appreciated by all. Buena suerte y hasta Ia vista, Edith. FRED HATISTE+Iiast Fred Iiatiste, a great sportsman whose goal-making runs in football as left half-back carried our team through as champions, is liked by everybody. Fred always seems to have something on his mind, and it's always interesting. He has also earned outstanding fame on the track team and this year in basketball. ALICE GIBBS-Here's a gal that really has plenty on the ball. Alice Gibbs is staff editor of the Chronicle and member of the Quarterly editorial board. Iler blue eyes, blond hair, and marvelous sense of humor may b found in every activity of our school. Although literary, Alice is never the type! IIARRY GlNgl or a solid trumpet rendition of any tune or the latest in a joke or sports, turn to Harry Gin, sports editor of the Chronicle and main- stay of our Swing Hand. Ilis broad grin and searching mind gather friends about him like a magnet. Ilarry is a fellow you can never atford to forget. mwnvmw s sway 1 l l ' 4

KlQl.l,lCY RULLINGS-.VX well-dressed man-about-schotil is Kelley Rollings, scholastic brain and editor of the medalist-winning Cactus Chronicle this year. In line with his work on many other clubs and as managing editor of the Tucsonian, he keeps a cheerful, fun-loving personality and is capable of doing hard work with seeming ease. MARY H UTCHINSON-Mary Hutchinson, Hutch to all, overflows with that certain something, which, with a willing smile and gracious charm, elected her Rodeo Queen of 19-14. She can ride a horse like a dream, finds time to be Tucsonian advertising business manager, and the number of her friends runs into an astronomical figure. DOCKQIMXS COZART-Capable Chronicle managing editor and Honor So- ciety president is jolly Doug Cozart, whose unruly hair gives away the fact that he is a guy always on the Ngo. Serious and dependable, with an amusing be11d toward a practical joker, he may be counted on to do any job right. DICK Ml'l'CHl2I.l.-Dashing Dick Mitchell, who has a finger in every pie, wows the girls and swings one of the fastest tennis racquets on the team. True and considerate, Mitch always is having a great time. XYith his fine talent for drawing he will go far in his chosen field of architecture. CiRl'1'l'ClIIiN GERHART- tin-teh is a girl with a double purpose in life, to make friends and enjoy herself doing it. And we agree she accom- plishes both things well. She is a member of the tennis team, holds the high position of co-business manager on the Chronicle, and showers every- one with her fun, BOB YOL'XGiHandso1ne Bob Young has talent in every field, but displays it most often on the stage or standing behind a bass. The originator of our notorious Mock has the physique that puts him at the top in the pole vault and relay runs. His infectious grin catches us all in its wake. TONI RUDULPH-Senior star of the tennis team is attractive Toni Rudolph, whose gay presence may be seen at every school function. Those exciting bangs and laughing blue eyes denote a personality interested in the world. Her appealing, Winsome smile along with an exploring mind will carry her far. - -- ,, ., fa...-ul'
