.fe GWLOZGQ ' Parlcy vouy Francais? Well. I don't either. but I certainly try hard, especially when words like l'epoque and l'an1itie', start Hying around, and that is what happens at the French Club. l always say the French Club instead of Le Cercle Francais because I'm not so good at the pronounciation end. It all means the same thing anyhow. This club, including me, really had a super time in said club this year. Miss Flor- ence Brazelton for mademoiselle, if you preferj was our advisor. She wouldn't tell us what her nickname was. but she said it definitely wasnlt Flossie. One of Mademoiselle F's many duties was to choose a program committee to help out president Ruth Ann Henderson 5 vice-president Ralph Peedg and secretary Audrey Hatch. This committee slayed to provide many good musical programs, dances, lectures, as well as the beautiful and fairly dignified initiation ceremony held for new members who are mostly from the beginning classes. QThat,s melj So you see, we kept busy, and really accomplished something. Of course that's only our opinion.-A.G. Les Jcuncs Filles ct Les Garsons du Ccrclc Francais tlfrcnch to Youj

30 Emi llaye you ever seen thirty people husily working at a task well worth their time? Neither have l, hut it is a nice dream, isn't it Well. we in the 3OH Club conflicted with all of the heretofore mentioned rumors. XX'e didn't work. let alone busily. and from the nuinlmer 3OH was subtracted at least 7fl niakinff it then, the 23 23 Club. Our jobs Clisten to me talkj were to distribute posters advertising the football and basketball games tit was sure hard work wasnlt it, Tom VVaddell?j, and to decorate the goal posts at the weekly struggles oi our football team. VVC were also supposed to make ourselves generally useful at the games, but quite often did ex- actly the opposite. This year we instigated a new plan of self-government in the eluh and dispensed with any officers. XVhile the idea wasn't conducive to quiet or etlieiency. every- body was able to get their two-hits worthy' in easier and the joh of dodging as- signments was made easier. Ineidentally, Mr. F. M. tllas anyone seen any iires?j XVhiting was our ad- visor. and he really did a grand iolm of corralling' us red-sweatered demons and making us work.-ll! J. JU fluh

V l Boyd' ocial Jfam 1 think we did a pretty good job this year on the l3oy's Social Hour Committee. 130111 get me wrong, but, actually, we did a lot of good work. Yes, we're the fel- lows who contributed our time to the success of the school dances, either tak- ing tickets or watching exits or some other ditlicult t ?j job. ,X simply exasperating ttwo buck phrase. no?j thing while on duty was to wait and wait to be relieved. Then Pete Bennet would suddenly realize his shift had started Fifteen minutes ago and would dash madly at the rate of two feet a minute to relieve you. Our big shotsf' better known as officers, for this year were Pete Pullen, presi- dentg Bert Pratt, vice-presidentg and Al Kiyel. secretary trasurer. The senior fel- lows on the committee were Pete Bennett. Bill liickley. Qscar Gonzales. Dick Mitchell, Jack Roads, Gilbert Urias, John Muse. Monty YVilkinson. and Frank Boice. The Junior Members were Larry McQuade. 'Toe Goff, Fred Snyder, Pete U'l.onghlin, and :lim Pickrell. Last, but definitely not least, was our advisor, 'l'. D. Romero, better known as Danny.', All joking aside, however, he is mostly responsible that our activi- ties during the year were so thoroughly enjoyable and efficient.-D.M. -.-,., Party Boys
