After much deliheration and fore- thought, we decided to ehristen the dance the Chronicle Buddy Ball. This had originated through the idea to use the proceeds to send our sehool paper to former students who are now in the service. In order to earry out our plans, we spent as little money on the danee as possihle. Honor Rolls Displayed W'ithout splurging. gorgeous andl unique decorations were designed: thei committee searehed out every scrap, of red and hlue crepe paper to he found in the art room and made huge tes-I toons for the walls. Under them were? put llonor Rolls with the names ofi ahout one hundred of our classmates, now serving lfnele Sam: the tops of the windows were covered with stripsi of red and hlne crepe paper hanners,l decorated with white stars. Ile may see the movie, aeeidentally, hut, of course, the only reason he went in . . i was to get the ad.
