Dancing Exercises For the second year in the history of T.ll.S. the ,Xrchery Club was presented to girls for GAA. credit. This year the class was larger, nearly doubled, and was under sponsorship of Miss Virginia Robinson, The Club met every Saturday morning on the Held. Each girl shot four rounds. This year dancing' was a most popular class. Under the capable teaching of Miss Virginia Robinson, the advanced dancing class got under Way with an assembly at the beginning of the year. The fundamentals of dancing were well learned- partly because the antics of the girls added to the entertainment of the class. But the obvious main reason was Nliss Robinson. as she displayed her talent so well the girls took a sincere interest in the dancing. A Class Shot

Rudolph, ljrose, lilson Lierhart, Padres, Painter AX third tournament entered by our tennis team was the .Xrizona Gpen State. Here was offered stiff competition from El Paso and California contestants although for the honor of the ole schooln the team outranked their opponents and estab- lished more honors for themselves. . No. obviously, the girls' tennis team has not been loahng this year, but the daily practices and week-end matches have given rise to some of the high school's most cherished memories. Miss Young deserves a bunch of posies, and our leading lady, Toni Rudolph, has certainly earned a compliment for three years of top tennis.

.-swung-an Hockey, Table Tennis lfield Hockey was again popular. The girls were able to play all year, but at times you would see them sliding in the mud. for the weather wasn't all that it should have been. Klajor G..X..X. credit was given for the hockey wo1'k done by the girls after school. Table Tennis this year was oilered in the modified l'. E. classes for girls not al- lowed to indulge in strenuous sports. The table tennis tournament held for GHXA. credit was very successful, with over thirty girls participating. liach had to play 15 matchesg Miss Katheryn Young sponsored the tournament. Last year the Y.XV.t,',A. pool opened its doors just to the seventh period gym classes, but this year. because of the demand for swimming instruction, the pool was available to all classes during the day. The beginners were taught the swimming fundamentals and the advanced students their junior and senior life-saving tests. ,Xfter school a special class was formed for G.A.4X. credit. Miss Nelda Taffe was instructor for these girls. Mermaids Q it MLN-E-T
