Ginnie, known by her consistent game. gf' . neat place shots and infectuous laugh, is next x'ear's top , player. wma 5142. .Xlthough the third rung has been under constant tire all year. the most consistent winner was Gail lilson. another senior whose graduation will be keenly felt. Gail is the best lighter on the team and has nobly fought for her position. Young tiretchen Gerhart, number four. certainly needs no introduction for who of you hasnlt seen her tall figure on the courts? Utiretchu is without doubt the team's clown and cut-upf' but she's tops in her odd game. Fulfilling a busy year. the program for the modified gym classes. ran throughout the entire day. included First Aid for juniors. Social Hygiene for Seniors. table tennis, aerial darts. softball. bowling. shuftleboard. horseshoes. badminton. a11d deck tennis. In practically all of these sports. tournaments were held. As part of their daily routine, the members of these classes walked around the block in order to get fresh air. Golf is a sport that is rapidly becoming a popular one. because of the splendid and thorough instruction that is offered. This year golf was enjoyed by a number of girls. Mrs. Ruth Conway and Miss Katheryn Young. instructors. taught the fun-- damentals and later the girls took an active part in the sport at the Municipal Golf Course. Golf, Archery ,WWE ,.'- 4 i,

Rudolph, ljrose, lilson Lierhart, Padres, Painter AX third tournament entered by our tennis team was the .Xrizona Gpen State. Here was offered stiff competition from El Paso and California contestants although for the honor of the ole schooln the team outranked their opponents and estab- lished more honors for themselves. . No. obviously, the girls' tennis team has not been loahng this year, but the daily practices and week-end matches have given rise to some of the high school's most cherished memories. Miss Young deserves a bunch of posies, and our leading lady, Toni Rudolph, has certainly earned a compliment for three years of top tennis.
