livmecvmzng MISTER PALO VERDE COLLEGE The Student Council, in preparation for the special Tenth Anniversary Ceremonies, decided to award to some person, interested in Palo Verde College through all the years of its existence, the title: Mis- ter Palo Verde College. After much consideration, the Council nominated William H. Hensey, Jr., for this award. Mr. Hensey has been a member of the PVC faculty since the founding of the College, teach- ing History and Sociology and related subiects. Home arming The Alumni of Palo Verde College, over the period of ten years now drawing to a close, have found their way into every walk of life. But they have not forgotten their Alma Mater. They have been instrumental in establishing the li- brary, they established two scholarships for graduates of Palo Verde High School attending the College. They spon- sor both fall and spring homecoming activities and they have enaugurated an alumni-college football game in the fall of 1957. All funds collected by the Alumni for their various activities are used exclusively for the support of the College program. Our Director has said that our Alumni are as active as many older four-year college groups, and that they have done an outstanding iob individually and collectively in supporting the Pirate program, both on and off campus. lt is only fitting that Palo Verde College salute the Alumni on the occasion of the Tenth Anniversary. XX 6' Alumni President Bob Barrozo crowns Homecoming Queen Non Collier Endsley. 14 Queen Queen Nan Collier Endsley is a Palo Verde High School graduate, and a very popular freshman stud- ent at PVC. Her popularity in college is reflected by her election as head cheer-leader-which is just an indication of the active part she takes in all school affairs. Nan is 18 years old, has black hair and brown eyes and stands 5'3 high. During the year she became the happy bride of Engineering Maior Ronnie Endsley. ' 111119 7
